November 2, 2019 was the most special day of our lives! I got to marry my best friend and we’re blessed to have a true fairytale of a wedding I’ve only dreamed of since I was a little girl. The rustic but classy farm venue with acres of land and horses roaming the fields, a beautiful sunny fall day, my Hayley Paige wedding gown sparkling as I ride down to the ceremony in horse and carriage- what could possibly go wrong?

I wish I could say everything went perfectly but what kind of a wedding day would that be, right?! I had tried my dress on a handful of times before the big day and every time fitting like a glove until Nov 2, 2019. My dress wouldn’t zip and I knew we were behind on the timeline which only made matters worse. We had maybe 15 minutes before the ceremony was to start and my zipper and back of dress rip. Yes you read correctly! My bridesmaids were so encouraging but I knew by their faces it was bad. Luckily my cousin could sew and the venue had an emergency kit with the items we needed. In between mini panic attacks (a little exaggerated) and a quick much needed prayer she sewed me in perfectly and by the end of it she made it look like nothing had ever happened. I was only 10 min late to the ceremony! My husband and I danced the night away in my sparkling Cinderella gown and it truly was my Happily Ever After perfect day.
