Sara and Jordan
Jordan and I met in December of 2012 at a friends Christmas party. For me, it was love at first sight - he took a bit longer, but that is another (very long) story!
After some ups and downs, and spending some time apart to grow, we began dating again in June of 2014 and I knew I was going to marry him. Flash forward to Sept 20, 2015 and Jordan got down on one knee while we were hiking (our favourite thing to do together) and talking about Lord of the Rings. I had burrs in my hair and was sweating, and it was perfect.
I LOVED planning our wedding. Our venue was the first one we looked at and I was smitten. We love simplicity and being out in nature and this venue gave us both. Located in a conservation area, we were able to have our short and sweet ceremony surrounded by trees, the sound of birds chirping and 80 of our favourite people (plus the coolest officiant ever), followed by a reception in their old stone barn from the 1800s. We lucked out with the most perfect weather and the day was just bursting with love.
My Tara Keely dress was the cherry on top of the best day of my life. I had been dreaming of that dress since I saw it online the first time, long before I was even engaged. It was so different, while being so very "me." When I went dress shopping, it was the first one I tried on and luckily, I loved it as much as I thought I would. I had the train removed (It was a bit too fancy for me) and paired it with white Kate Spade Keds and a crown made of greenery.
